RE: Crude futures to go under $90 BBL Today

All this with 10 refineries off line in TX, OPEC cutting production by 500,000 barrels per day and who knows what that nut case in Venezuela is going to do. I'll believe it when I see it.

RE: DirecTV Portable Dish Kit for $49

Also got one from Directv and it actually came with 75' of RG6 coax. Now I can finally watch The Red Sox games while away.

RE: Using Eternabond on seams as preventive measure

That's what I did when I bought our trailer. If the manufacturer cut a hole in the roof I went around it with eternabond, also where the front wall meets the roof. I cleaned the dicor with Goo Gone Here's a link to see how to apply the tape. http://www.eternabond.com/installation.htm

RE: Camping with DVR - No satellite dish

I don't see why not, after all, you're saving the shows to a hard drive inside the receiver. Try it at home, disconnect the coax from the dish and see before you leave for your road trip.

RE: water leak

Just for the heck of it, when the you have it hooked up to the city water supply and turned on, check the floor behind the toilet. I used to have a water leak from the pressure relief valve or whatever you call it behind the toilet when the supply pressure was too high and the water would run all over the place. I've since installed a "Watts" regulator and no more leak.

RE: Erving State Forest (Massachusetts)

You'll like it. You might ask if you can check out the sites first. They have what looks like a new building with restrooms & maybe showers along with a triple bay sink for dish/pot washing near the end of the road. If you don't mind walking or lugging your stuff most sites are a ways away from the building. Enjoy

RE: Erving State Forest (Massachusetts)

We've camped at Wagon Wheel Campground a couple of times which is JUST before you enter the state park. We drove through the state park and checked out the sites which were mostly populated by tenter's and a couple of pop-ups. There are no hookups, only a public water faucet down by the road every couple of sites or so. It's a real nice park, clean and well maintained and if I were to camp in a tent I'd go there in a minute but for me, I've gotta have W/E/S. BTW, I live in Pawtucketville.

RE: VT Campgrounds off of 91

We stayed at Brattleboro North KOA last weekend off of exit 3 and about 3.5 miles north on Route 5. Very quiet and very clean. mostly pull through sites. Only 49 sites, some with sewer and all with cable for a couple of bucks extra. New owners (2nd year) are very nice and helpful. Our cable wasn't working properly and after a call to the office, the owner was at out site in 10 minutes fixing it. If you decide to stay on a weekend, check out the Brattleboro Farmers Market after 9AM on Saturday on Route 9 West (exit 2). You'll find Hidden Arces Campground also on Route 5 1 mile BEFORE the KOA. They operate an ice cream stand out in front which is pretty good but sorry I can't give you a recommendation as to the campground as we've never stayed there.

RE: Question for ham radio ops at campgrounds.

I've put up an R7 from time to time over the years. To most non-ham campers it turns into a conversation piece. Only minus is it being a vertical and the other campers watching TV nearby tends to cause them QRM. By the way, I've always got the owners permission before erecting the antenna. Less hassle done the road that way.

RE: New England campground

Try Brattlebero (VT) KOA. It's located about 12 miles from the MA/NH state lines. If you make a reservation, make sure to say that you want a W/S/E, not all sites have sewer.

RE: Revenue Agent Searching for Montana llc's

A little story. I live on the MA/NH border. NH is sales tax free and many MA residents naturally shop in NH. Years ago the MA Dept. of Revenue sent agents up to NH to take down all the MA license plates at the NH State Liquor stores to see who was evading/avoiding the liquor tax that the Commonwealth of MA felt was due them. The govenor, I believe it was Thompson told the MA Dept of Revenue that if it continued he would have them arrested. That ended that. My kind of guy. If someone from MT was asking questions in the state of IL, I'd tell them to get lost.

RE: Do you empty your TT?

The few times that I've taken it to the dealer I've removed everything of value. Like the sign on the service departments wall states "Not responsible for items lost or stolen". You were lucky the dealership stepped up to the plate and paid for your stuff, not many would.

RE: Cleaning Rubber Roof on my Jayco...why should I?

Jayco roofs are TPO. The maker of the roofinf materal recommends cleaning it with Murphy's Oil Soap. I'd be leary of any harsh chemical cleaners.

RE: Jiffy Lube Jerks Just Changed My Oil

I stopped using Jiffy Lube years ago after they forgot to replace the oil cap twice. Nothing like having oil slung all over the engine compartment. I do the oil changes myself now and as far as the stripped drain plug, I always install a crush washer with every oil change on my 3 vehicles. Do it yourself and it's done right.
